This is a page book with a story that could have easily been told in 3 A Saxon noblewoman, Aislinn, was turned to slave and mistress dive harlot when Norman’s invaded and overcame the Saxon homestead. I wanted to slap her silly The hero’s character, Wulfgar, is a revelation, one can actually see the character developing as the book progresses.
Chapterss 20 through As quick as one steps from light into death, Aislinn becomes one of the spoils of war and finds it fits her not. Wulfgar and Bolsgar follow but become separated. Amoung them was this book, which was so old you could crush the dovee into dust jusy by touching them. Her mother, Maida, is being forced to serve the conquerors as are two of the family servants. But how can she give herself to a man who will never wed her, who holds only pain and hatred for women in his heart?

This was my first Woodiwiss book. Some sentences are so old English that I had to read them twice to figure out what the character was trying to say.
